Add-on Settings

The configuration options of the Listdom Favorite Addon, are located on the Addons tab of Listdom → Settings. The available options in this section are:

Status

Enable or disable the heart icon on the listing pages and cards. Disabling the status will remove the icon and therefore the users cannot add more items to the favorite list or remove them.

Access

Determine whether the guest users can add a listing as a favorite, or only logged-in users should have this ability. By selecting the “Only Logged in Users” the user will be redirected to the website login page after clicking on the favorite icon.

Shortcodes

The Listdom Favorite add-on has two shortcodes:

  • [listdom-favorites-count]: With this shortcode you can show the current user’s favorites count.
  • [listdom-favorites id=” SHORTCODE_ID”]: This shows a list of favorites in a certain Listdom skin. This shortcode has an id parameter that’s used to define the style in which this shortcode should show favorite listings. Read more about Listdom skin shortcodes.

Show in Dashboard

Enable this option to add a new menu to the Listdom frontend dashboard that displays the favorite listings of the user in a simple table format.

Target Shortcode

You can select a skin shortcode to display the listings in the frontend dashboard with that skin.

How to Mark a Listing as Favorite?

While the Favorite add-on is activated a heart icon is added to the listing pages and listing cards. The user can click on the icon to add the listing to their favorite list. Note: The position and style of the icon vary based on the templates and styles of the listing pages and listing cards.
