Multiple Categories Documentation

Listdom Multiple Categories add-on allows you to assign multiple categories to each listing. Here you can find how to setup and use the this add-on.

How Does It Work?

When you download and install Multiple Categories Addon, a new section will be added under the category section of the Add/Edit listing form, both on the frontend dashboard and the WordPress admin panel. This option allows you to assign several categories to the listings besides the main category. While the additional categories are optional, the primary category is mandatory for the listing to be published.

Selecting the categories will add them to the listing details page and their appearance and styles won’t have any difference from the primary category except for the dedicated color of each one which is not related to the Mulitple Categories Add-on.

Manage The Multiple Categories Display

To enable or disable the additional categories display, navigate to Listdom → Settings → Addons tab and find the “Multiple Categories Addon” section. Use the “Display Multiple Categories” option to show or hide the additional categories on the front end.

The additional categories work the same as the primary one. For example, a listing with several categories will be shown in the search results filtered by any of those categories.
