In this section, we are going to explain how to update the Listdom products. There are two ways to update a plugin in the WordPress. The manual way and the automatic way. Here we go to explain both of them.
The Manual Way
The process of manual updating is the same as installing the plugins. You should download the latest version of Listdom from the WordPress plugins repository. Also, the add-ons’ latest versions are available in your Webilia account. Finally, you should upload the downloaded files to your site. There are two ways to do this:
Upload Via FTP:
- Unzip the file with the “.zip” format that you’ve downloaded.
- Upload the extracted folder into “/wp-content / plugins/”
- To activate the plugin, in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Installed Plugins and activate the installed plugin.
Upload in WordPress Dashboard:
- Navigate to Plugins → Installed Plugins.
- Click the Add New button and then hit Upload Plugin.
- Click on Choose File to find the downloaded ZIP file on your computer and click on the Install Now button.
- The plugin will be uploaded.
- Confirm the replacement and hit the Replace current with uploaded button to update and activate the new version.
The Automatic Way
To access the automatic update first be sure to have the Listdom addons activated with a valid license key on your site. The process of activating is explained here. Then under the dashboard menu in the WordPress admin panel, head over to the Updates menu to see the available updates of all of your site plugins and themes. If there is a new update for Listdom and its addons and themes, you can check them and click the Update Plugins or Update Themes button.
Note: You may not see the new updates due to several issues depending on your site details. In this case please click on the Check Again button to recheck the Listdom updates from Webilia’s servers.
