The Listdom Search widget is another WordPress widget added by the Listdom to the WordPress widgets list. When you set up or create a form in the Listdom search and filter builder menu, there are two ways to show that search form in the front end. The first and better way is to use the form shortcode and insert it anywhere on the site needed. The other way is to use the search widget to show the search and filter form; this article will explain how.
Where Is This Widget?
To begin with, Navigate to Appearance → Widgets, and in the widgets list find the “(Listdom) Search”. (Some of the WordPress themes do not show this menu). Based on the theme you’re using on the website, you can add this widget to different areas e.g. sidebars, footers, etc. You can also find the widgets through some of the themes’ customization settings.
Widget Settings
Add the “(Listdom) Search” to the desired area. In the widget settings, you can set a title for the search and filter form and select the form you’ve created in the search and filter builder. Note: it’s better to set the form style to “Sidebar” in the form’s settings.
Finally, the search form will be displayed in the selected area.
