The Listdom Simple Map widget provides a map with a marker showing a determined position. The final result is the same as the Listdom Simple Map shortcode but with different settings.
Where Is This Widget?
To use this widget, go to Appearance → Widgets, and in the widgets list find the “(Listdom) Simple Map” widget. (Some of the WordPress themes do not show this menu). Depending on the theme you’re using, this widget can be added to various areas of your website, such as sidebars and footers. For some themes, you can also find widgets in the customization settings.
Widget Settings
Once the widget is added to the desired area, you can configure the settings:
- Title: This title appears on top of the widget map.
- Address: Enter the exact address of the desired point where the map marker will be placed. If you’re not sure about the address, one solution is to find the point on the Google Maps site and copy the address of that.
- Map Provider: The available map providers are the Google Maps and the Leaflet.

- Style: You can change the default style of the Google Maps.

- Location Name: Enter a name that will be shown when you click on the map marker.
- Map Zoom Level: A number between 0-19 which is the default zoom level of the map. If not inserted, the value will be 14.
Finally, the map will be displayed showing the determined location.
