The listings also known as directories, are the main part of the Listdom. A listing can be a job position, a house ad, a service provider, etc. To Add a new listing (directory) in Listdom Just go to Listings → Add Listing. There are several sections on this page and we will investigate them individually.
1. Add Title
Enter a name for this listing.
2. Listing Description
The description of this listing. A description can include any information about the listing that the users will need.
3. Locations
The locations are useful for categorizing listings according to different regions. There are two ways to make a new location and use it for this listing. You can use the Listdom Location taxonomy menu to configure more details of the location. This way the made location will appear on this list and you can use it. You need to reload the page to see the newly created locations in the list.
The other way is to make the location directly on this page. Hit the “+Add New Location” link, enter a name, and select the parent location. The Parent Location is useful to make a parental relationship between locations. Like countries and cities, cities and zones, etc. Finally, press the “Add New Location” button and it will be created and marked as selected in the list. A listing can have several locations. Select the desired locations from the “All Locations” list or hit the “Most Used” tab which shows the frequently used ones and is useful for finding them more quickly.
4. Tags
A tag is a useful taxonomy for grouping the listings with the same options. For example, the 24/7 tag is used for listings that are available during the 7 days and 24 hours. You can use this option based on your listings. They will be shown on the listing details page and also some styles of the listing cards.
To add a new tag just type it and press Enter or “Add” button. While typing, you can see the already created tags with the same name and choose them. You can both add the tags individually or type and separate them with a comma and enter several tags at once. If there are other tags created before, then hit the “Choose from the most used tags” and select tags from the appeared list. The larger the name of the tags, the more listings with that tag on your site. Note: A tag that’s not selected in any listing is not displayed on this list. You can remove a tag by clicking the X next to the tag name. To make a tag with more detailed options you can use the Tags menu too.
