Categories are useful for grouping listings to help the users find the one they want. For example, you can group all restaurants on your website into a category. Another use of categories is to indicate the general definition of a listing, such as whether it is an advertisement.
To manage the Listdom categories, go to Listings → Categories. There are several options on this page to add or edit the categories.

For example, if the slug is: “beauty salon”, then the URL of the categories will be: YourDomain.com/categories/beauty-salon. The term “categories” in this URL can be changed too. To do that see the Slugs documentation.
3. Parent Category
To create a hierarchy, you can assign a parent term to a category. For example, the term “Jazz” would be the parent of “Bebop” and “Big Band”. Doing The categories will be displayed in a parent-child style wherever possible. For example in the categories field of the Listdom Search and Filter forms.
